Flirty Martinis

Classic martinis are often thought of as “manly” cocktails – 007 James Bond drinks. But I prefer to think of a martini as a flirty cocktail…fruity and fun! Here are some of my favorite flirty martini recipes:

French Chambord Martini

Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Course Drinks
Servings 1 cocktail

Equipment

  • 1 cocktail shaker

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ounces chilled pineapple juice
  • 5 ounces Chambord liqueur
  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • fresh raspberries and lemon peel twist garnish

Instructions
 

  • Place martini glass in freezer to chill while you make your cocktail.
  • Place pineapple juice, Chambord and vodka in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Cover shaker and shake vigorously until cocktail is well chilled.
  • Strain cocktail into chilled martini glass. Garnish with raspberry on a cocktail pick and lemon peel twist.

Lavender Lemon Drop Martini

Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Course Drinks
Servings 1 cocktail

Equipment

  • 1 small cocktail shaker

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 ounce Crescent Simples Blueberry Lavender Simple Syrup
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • ice
  • 3 dashes lavender bitters
  • splash sprite
  • fine sugar and lemon wedge for glass rim
  • lavender sprig for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Chill martini glass in freezer (about 15 minutes).
  • Run lemon wedge around edge of martini glass. Place fine sugar on a plate and roll the martini glass rim around in the sugar so sugar adheres to the rim. (If you cannot find fine sugar in the grocery store, make it by placing granulated sugar in a blender for a few seconds to pulverize it).
  • Place Crescent Simples Blueberry Lavender Simple Syrup, lemon juice and vodka in a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice. Cover and shake vigorously.
  • Strain cocktail into chilled martini glass. Add lavender bitters. Stir gently.
  • Top cocktail with a splash of Sprite and garnish with a sprig of lavender.

Pomegranate Martini

Prep Time 10 minutes
Course Drinks
Servings 1 martini

Equipment

  • 1 cocktail shaker

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ounces POM Wonderful pomegranate juice
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce blood orange liqueur or Grand Marnier
  • 2 ounces agave nectar
  • ice
  • blood orange slice and pomgranate seeds for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Place martini glass in freezer to chill while making cocktail.
  • Place pomegranate juice, vodka, blood orange liqueur (or Grand Marnier) and agava nectar in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Cover cocktail shaker and shake vigorously until cocktail is thoroughly mixed and chilled.
  • Strain cocktail into a chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish cocktail with a blood orange slice and sprinkle with a few pomegranate seeds.

Pink Lemon Drop Martini

A bubbly pink version of the classic Lemon Drop Martini
Prep Time 15 minutes
Course Drinks
Servings 2 cocktails

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1 1/2 ounces limoncello
  • 2 ounces  sweet and sour mix reduce amount of sweet and sour mix for a less sweet drink
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 2 drops maraschino cherry juice
  • Champagne or prosecco for topping
  •  Lemon slices and maraschino cherries for garnish
  • Lime wedge and fine sugar for glass rim

Instructions
 

  • Rub rim of martini glass with lime wedge. Roll rim in fine sugar to create sugar rim. Place glasses in freezer to chill while preparing martini.
  • Add all ingredients except champagne and garnish to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into martini glasses and top off with champagne and garnish.
