Jumbo Lump Crab Dip

My jumbo lump crab dip is creamy and luscious, full of delightful crab flavor. It’s served cold so its easy to pack up and take to a friends house to share as an appetizer.

Jumbo Lump Crab Dip

Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces jumbo lump crab meat, picked over to remove any shell
  • 2 ounces whipped cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup Duke's mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • garnish: 2 tablespoons cocktail sauce and 2 green onions, sliced very thin
  • Ruffles potato chips for service

Instructions
 

  • Place crab meat in a mixing bowl. Add cream cheese, mayonnaise, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice and cayenne pepper. Stir with rubber spatula, trying not to break up the pieces of crab meat too much.
  • Transfer crab dip into a serving bowl. Make a small indentation in the center of the dip with the back of a spoon. Place cocktail sauce in the indentation. Sprinkle dip with thinly sliced green onions.
  • Cover dip and refrigerate until service. Serve with Ruffles potato chips.
