Equipment

  • 1 cocktail shaker

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 ounces gin
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1/2 ounce fresh blood orange juice
  • chilled champagne
  • 1/2 blood orange slice for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Chill a champagne flute in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  • In a cocktail shaker half filled with ice, place gin, lemon juice, simple syrup and blood orange juice.
  • Cover shaker and shake vigorously.
  • Strain into the chilled champagne flute.
  • Top with chilled champagne.
  • Garnish with 1/2 blood orange slice.
