Texas Grande Margarita

This is my favorite margarita to order at our local Mexican restaurant. The secret ingredient is Grand Marnier that infuses it with lovely orange flavor.

Texas Grande Margarita – secret ingredient Grand Marnier

Ingredients
  

  • Fine salt, for rimming glass
  • 1 lime wedge, for rimming glass
  • 2 ounces Tequila Blanco
  • 1 ounce Grand Marnier
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 orange slice for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Pour the salt onto a small, shallow plate.
  • Gently squeeze the lime wedge around the outside rim of a margarita glass.
  • Dip the rim into the plate of salt and roll it around to coat the rim of the glass.
  • Place margarita glass in freezer for 10 minutes to chill.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, and add the tequila, Grand Marnier and lime juice.
  • Cover shaker and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds.
  • Strain cocktail into chilled martini glass. Garnish with orange slice.
