Amaretto adds the perfect sweet nutty flavor to my sweet cherry margarita.
Sweet Cherry Amaretto Margarita
Equipment
- 1 cocktail shaker
- 1 cocktail muddler
Ingredients
- 5 sweet dark cherries, pitted and cut into 4 pieces
- 1/2 ounce agave
- 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 1/2 ounce blanco tequila
- 1 ounce amaretto
- maraschino cherries with stems
Instructions
- Place cherries, agave and lime juice in a cocktail shaker.
- Muddle cherries with a cocktail muddler, until they are mushy.
- Add tequila and amaretto
- Add a handful of ice and vigorously shake for 30 seconds or until the shaker has cold condensation all around the outside.
- Strain into a margarita glass filled with ice and garnish with maraschino cherries with stems
