This recipe is an oldie, but a goodie. My mom used to make this back in the 1960’s. Always a popular spread for your appetizer table.

Hot Dried Beef Pecan Spread

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 2 1/2 ounce jar dried beef, shredded
- 2 tablespoons onion flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- Triscuit crackers or other sturdy crackers for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Blend cream cheese with milk.
- Add dried beef, onion flakes, black pepper, garlic powder and red bell pepper.
- Fold in sour cream.
- Spread in shallow oven-proof dish.
- Heat pecans in butter and sprinkle over cheese mixture.
- Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.
- Serve with Triscuits crackers or other sturdy crackers.
