Dracula Blood Orange Cosmopolitan – secret ingredient blood orange marmalade!

Just in time for Halloween! Blood orange cosmopolitans made with Dracula blood oranges imported from Australia. I found my oranges at Fresh Market. Gushing with lots of juicy red orange juice. And a SECRET ingredient – blood orange marmalade.

Dracula Blood Orange Cosmopolitan

Equipment

  • 1 cocktail shaker
  • 1 citrus juicer
  • 1 large mason jar with lid

Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce Grand Marnier
  • 8 ounces fresh blood orange juice
  • 4 ounces simple syrup
  • 1 ounce cranberry juice
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 4 tablespoons blood orange marmalade Fresh market Sicilian Blood Orange Marmalade is a good choice for this recipe.
  • Blood orange slices, cut in half, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients (except garnish) in a large mason jar. Cover with lid and shake vigorously until the marmalade is dissolved into the liquid.
  • Place mason jar in refrigerator until ready to serve.
  • When ready to serve, place enough ice in a cocktail shaker to fill it half way. Pour in 1/4 (for one cocktail) of the cosmopolitan into the shaker. Cover shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with blood orange slice.
