Equipment

  • 1 cocktail shaker

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon simple syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon pickle juice

Instructions

  • Rim margarita glass: Place sugar and salt on a plate and mix with a spoon. Take the rind from the lemon you used to make lime juice and run it around the rim of the glass. Dip and roll the rim of the glass in the sugar/salt mixture to coat the rim of the glass. Place glass in freezer to chill while you are making your mocktail.
  • Place lime juice, lemon juice, simple syrup and pickle juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Cover and shake vigourously.
  • Remove the top of the cocktail shaker and add tonic water. Stir with a long-handled spoon.
  • Cover the cocktail shaker with strainer portion of shaker and strain into the prepared margarita glass. Garnish with lime wheel.
